In the app
Open NIKSY and go to Profile → Delete account. You will be asked to type a confirmation phrase. This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
By email
If you cannot access the app, email niksy.app@gmail.com from any address and tell us the mobile number your account uses. We will verify that you control that number before deleting anything, and we aim to complete the request within 30 days.
What is deleted from our servers
- Your account record and mobile number
- All sessions, sign-in tokens and registered devices
- Your backup wrapping key
- Any backup stored on NIKSY's servers
- Any older records held on our servers from before NIKSY moved to on-device storage — transactions, budgets, goals, habits and tasks
- Your subscription record, if you have one
What is deleted from your phone
In the same step, NIKSY clears its data from the device you delete from:
- Every transaction, budget, goal, habit, task and pending capture
- Everything you typed or said to the assistant, and everything it replied
- Your learned categories and corrections
- The key that encrypts your backups
- Any bank SMS or notification alert still held from before the app last opened
- Your sign-in tokens and saved profile
If any of it cannot be cleared, NIKSY tells you so and asks you to uninstall to finish. It does not report success it did not achieve.
What is not deleted, and what to do about it
Your backup in Google Drive. It sits in your own Google account, not ours, so we cannot reach it. Because we delete the wrapping key it becomes permanently unreadable — but the file itself remains until you remove it. Delete it in the app before deleting your account, or remove NIKSY's app data from your Google account settings.
- Crash and usage diagnostics already sent to Google Firebase. This is pseudonymous technical data that is not keyed to your phone number. It ages out under Google's retention settings and cannot be withdrawn individually.
- Routine system backups and server logs, which age out on their normal cycle.
- The NIKSY app itself. Uninstall it if you also want it off your phone.
Before you delete
Export your data first if you want to keep it. Use Settings → Export in the app. Deletion is permanent and we cannot restore a deleted account. You may register again with the same mobile number, but it will be a new, empty account.
